STRABISMUS COURSE

Our Strabismus hands-on training program is designed for ophthalmologists who want to gain practical surgical experience and refine their understanding of ocular motility disorders. The course combines a comprehensive theoretical foundation with real surgical exposure under expert supervision.

Training covers both basic and advanced procedures, customized according to the candidate's background.

​

The number of cases depends on trainee level of skill (from 5 to 10 cases per week), with emphasis on quality, understanding, and confidence building.

 

Techniques Covered:

  • Recession and resection of extraocular muscles.

​

  • Plication and transposition techniques.

​

  • Adjustable sutures and postoperative alignment adjustments.

​

  • Management of congenital, paralytic, and acquired strabismus.

​

  • Preoperative measurement forced duction testing, and postoperative evaluation.

​​

Duration:

  • Flexible duration based on trainee level and desired depth of training.

​

  • Programs can range from intensive short-term courses to extended sessions for advanced surgical experience
